Team member safety is the cornerstone of every decision. Working safely is crucial for our team members and to our partners who've commissioned the work.

Safety and quality go hand in hand—team members empowered to make safety a priority also make quality a priority. That's important for the individual team member, the project, the partner and the ultimate success of our business.

We offer team members extensive, ongoing training to maintain the highest safety standards possible.

Outreach

Sanford Contractors encourages team members to be active in their communities. Many team members are involved with non-profits, faith groups, youth sports and local civic clubs. The company is also committed to financially supporting non-profits and educational initiatives.

50 Years Celebrated!

  • 1969

    Norman T. Oldham and three investors founded the Sanford Grading Company, which graded small building sites, driveways and parking lots

  • 1970's

    Company started industrial and NCDOT projects

  • 1980's

    Company started US Corps of Engineers projects and turn-key site development

  • 1985

    Norman Oldham purchased the company

  • 1989

    Donnie Oldham became president of the company

  • 1990's

    Company developed in-house utility and concrete capabilities; acquired Sanford Construction Company, which added bridge and heavy concrete construction

  • 2016

    Simpson Construction acquisition added commercial building services

  • 2019

    Install Inc. acquisition expanded industrial construction

  • 2020

    Company acquired Montgomery Development, expanding its commercial building services capabilities

  • TODAY
